Speech and Language Therapist
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) to their Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Carlow. They have opportunities available for both staff and senior-level therapists. In these roles, you will work closely with children and young people with disabilities and their families, delivering high-quality therapeutic support to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (MDT), including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Provide family-centered services, including parent training and support.
- Deliver interventions in various settings, including clinic, home, and educational environments.
- Support and mentor junior staff (Senior SLT role).
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives (Senior SLT role).
Requirements:
- Recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- CORU registration (or eligibility to register).
- For Staff SLT: Experience working with children with disabilities is an advantage but not essential.
- For Senior SLT: Minimum 3 years of experience working in paediatric disability services.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing person-centered and evidence-based care.
