About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team providing high-quality care to elderly patients in South Dublin. As an HCA, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care in a supportive, respectful, and homely environment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of elderly individuals while working as part of a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance to elderly patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with mobility and daily activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Create a positive and supportive environment for residents and their families.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally in elderly care.
- A qualification in healthcare or a related field (e.g., QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support) is desirable.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
