Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics – Primary Care Centre)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at a primary Care Centre in Wexford. In this role, you will work with children and their families to support the development of essential life skills, promote independence, and enhance the quality of life for children with various physical, developmental, and sensory challenges.
Key Responsibilities of the Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Evaluate children’s abilities and challenges in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and play.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help children achieve their developmental goals.
- Work closely with families, teachers, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Provide guidance and training to families on strategies to support their child’s development at home and in school.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communications with families.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Must be CORU registered or in the process
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Paediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a primary care or outpatient setting is not essential but preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in paediatric assessment and intervention; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with children and their families.
- Must have access to a car, expenses will be covered
