Staff Grade Occupational Therapist
CORU Registration and valid work permit is essential for this position. Sponsorship is not offered due to the contract length.
Medforce are delighted to have partnered with a friendly and supportive Primary Care service located in East Limerick to recruit a Staff Grade Occupatioanl Therapist.
Location: East Limerick
Type: 6-month contract (with a view to extend), Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week
Travel Requirement: Required between two primary care sites within East Limerick and Ballina, Tipperary

This role involves working with an adult and paediatric patient population in a community-based setting, addressing a range of non-complex conditions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives by providing high-quality occupational therapy interventions tailored to their unique needs in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, plan and implement client-centered therapy interventions for a varied caseload of adults and children
- Develop individualized treatment plans to support daily functioning, mobility, and overall quality of life
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses, to deliver holistic care
- Provide education, guidance, and support to clients, caregivers, and families to promote engagement and maximize therapy outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and ensure adherence to all relevant healthcare policies and procedures
- Travel between multiple primary care sites within East Limerick to meet clients’ needs and facilitate ongoing care
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognized by CORU
- Registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)
- Previous experience with both adult and paediatric populations, ideally in a primary care or community setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a client-centered approach
- Valid driving license and access to a car, as travel between sites is required
