Senior Speech and Language Therapist (Mental Health)

Medforce are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapists to join an Acute Mental Health Service based in south Dublin.
The Senior SLT should have experience in good quality mental health assessment and interventions and SLT assessments, that can deliver these according to the values of our client’s organisation.
You will join a strong and supportive team with excellent structures and support. The Senior SLT will work alongside passionate colleagues, rich in their diversity, who are committed to providing excellent care to our service users and their loved ones.
Purpose
You will be working in the MDT, you will carry out specialised SLT assessment and provide interventions for individuals with functional or organised mental illness.
Contract
This is a Permanent, Full-time role, Salary range €59,478 – €70,033 per annum. (PART-TIME hours also available)

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.
- Dysphagia qualification to accredited level by IASLT.
- 3 years full-time post qualification clinical experience working with adults.
- At least 1 year full-time experience working within a Neuro-disability setting or a Mental Health setting with adults.
- Clinical proficiency in the assessment and treatment of adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties
- Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions relevant to the role.
