Job Title: Person in Charge (Social Care Manager)
Location: Co. Kildare
Salary: €53,000 + On-Call Rate (€3,904)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 Hours)
Our client is seeking a full-time Person in Charge (Social Care Manager) to join their team. This leadership role involves managing their community, ensuring person-centered support for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Governance: Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Senior Management Team (SMT) and ensure the smooth functioning of the community.
- Operational Management: Oversee residential, day, and supported living services, ensuring compliance with HIQA standards.
- Staff Management: Lead and support a team of coworkers, ensure appropriate staffing levels, and promote continuous staff development.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage community budgets and ensure resources are used effectively and responsibly.
- Resident Support: Ensure that residents’ needs and aspirations are met through person-centered plans and support systems.
- Partnership Building: Develop relationships with the HSE and other agencies to support community initiatives and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Minimum Level 7 qualification (BA in Social Care Studies, Social Care Management, or equivalent)
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of senior management experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the health, social care, or voluntary sector.
- Skills: Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements in health and social care.
