Location: Louth
Salary: Competitive, in line with HSE pay scales
Working Hours: Full Time/Part time Monday – Friday
Contract: 6 months with option to extend
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Grade Psychologist to join their multidisciplinary Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT). This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families by providing high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for children with a range of disabilities.
- Collaborate with other members of the CDNT, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to deliver integrated care.
- Provide consultation and training to other professionals, parents, and caregivers to support the psychological well-being of children within the network.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, ensuring that all interventions are grounded in the latest research and best practices in the field of child psychology.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all assessments, interventions, and consultations in line with professional and organizational standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, supervision, and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Contribute to service development initiatives aimed at improving the delivery of psychological services within the CDNT.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree or masters in Psychology, with eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
- Completed or working towards a professional qualification in Clinical, Educational, or Counseling Psychology.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a proactive approach to learning.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks governing services for children with disabilities.
