Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join their paediatric team at the staff grade level. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering tailored occupational therapy interventions to children with a variety of needs. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to enhance each child’s development and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children to determine their individual needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at promoting functional abilities and independence.
- Provide therapy services in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, and home environments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and educators.
- Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers, empowering them to contribute to the child’s development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with professional standards and legal requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to service development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration: CORU
- Experience: Experience in paediatrics is essential, with knowledge of child development and common paediatric conditions. Experience in Primary Care, acute and adult is accepted
- Skills:
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and creativity in approach to therapy.
