Occupational Therapist.
Medforce are proud to bring to market this Occupational Therapist role with primary care to work with adults, the aim of this role is to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to adult clients within the Ballinasloe Primary Care setting, aiming to promote independence and enhance quality of life through tailored assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to identify needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to address identified goals, utilizing both remediation and compensatory strategies.
- Collaborate with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary team members in planning and delivering interventions.
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and home modifications to support clients’ independence.
- Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with service policies and professional standards.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ward rounds as required.
- Engage in continuous professional development through in-service training, workshops, and relevant courses.
- Participate in support and supervision sessions with the Occupational Therapy Manager.
- Contribute to the education of student therapists and provide supervision as appropriate
Requirements of Occupational Therapist
- A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (e.g., BSc in Occupational Therapy).
- Registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience in adult occupational therapy practice would be desirable.
- Experience in working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams is desirable.
