About Us:
Join our client’s dynamic Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Carlow, where they are dedicated to providing high-quality, family-centered services for children and young people with disabilities. Their multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to ensure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
The Role:
Our client is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Staff and Senior Occupational Therapists to join their team. In this role, you will assess and provide interventions to children and young people with a range of disabilities, supporting their development and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to deliver evidence-based, child-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide therapy sessions tailored to the child’s developmental needs.
- Collaborate with families and the multidisciplinary team to set goals and monitor progress.
- Offer guidance and support to families in implementing interventions at home.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
For Staff Grade:
- Degree or Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU registration (or eligibility to register).
- Experience working with children or within a multidisciplinary team is an advantage.
For Senior Grade:
- Degree or Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU registration.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in paediatrics or a related area.
- Strong clinical and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
