Salary: Competitive, in line with HSE pay scales
Working Hours: Full Time Monday – Friday
Contract: 6 months

Job Overview:
As a Speech and Language Therapist specializing in adult mental health, you will play a key role in assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders in individuals with mental health conditions. You will work as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, providing person-centered care aimed at improving the quality of life for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication difficulties in adults with mental health conditions.
- Provide intervention for individuals with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) where required.
- Work collaboratively with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create holistic treatment plans.
- Educate and support clients and their families in managing communication and swallowing issues.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and reports on client progress.
- Deliver therapy sessions both in one-on-one and group settings.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (recognized by CORU).
- CORU registration (or in the process of registration).
- Experience in adult mental health or a willingness to learn and specialize in this area.
- Knowledge of dysphagia management is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy.
