Speech and Language Therapist (Clinical Specialist)
Medforce are looking for a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to lead the development of an evidence-based, patient-focused stroke service within a highly renowned acute facility in Louth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, shaping acute stroke and rehabilitation pathways across our client’s hospital group.
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Lead on complex cases, service development, and best-practice approaches.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and healthcare teams to optimise patient care.
- Engage in research, CPD, and professional leadership at regional and national levels.
- Drive quality improvement, service evaluation, and innovation within stroke care.

- Expertise in stroke rehabilitation & dysphagia management
- Leadership skills to support SLT colleagues and the wider team
- Passion for evidence-based practice, service development & research
- Commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary teamwork
Essential Criteria:
- BSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- Post Graduate Qualification in relevant to the required specialism of this post
- Current CORU Registration
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical, post graduate experience
- Experience in the assessment and management of stroke patients
