Medforce are seeking a passionate and dynamic Speech and Language Therapist to join a Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in County Meath. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.
Key Responsibilities of Speech and Language Therapist
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children and young people with a range of complex communication needs.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and others.
- Provide family-centered intervention, including parent training and coaching in naturalistic settings.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans, and contribute to team-based goal setting.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical records and reports in line with HSE standards.
- Participate in clinical supervision, continuous professional development, and team meetings.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the CDNT.
Requirements of Speech and Language Therapist
- A Level 8 Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience or interest in working with children and young people with complex needs would be desirable
- Full, clean driver’s license and access to own transport (as travel may be required within catchment area).
