Job Title: Social Worker – Duty & Children in Care
Location: Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary
Salary: HSE pay scales
Working Hours: Full Time Monday – Friday
Medforce is currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a dedicated and supportive team in the Duty & Children in Care service across Carlow, Kilkenny, and South Tipperary. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate professional to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in these regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Duty: Responding to referrals, assessments, and crisis situations, ensuring the immediate safety and well-being of children.
- Children in Care: Providing support and assessments for children in care, working closely with foster families and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Developing and implementing care plans, contributing to case conferences, and managing a caseload.
- Collaborating with other services, including health, education, and legal professionals, to provide holistic care.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate case records in line with regulatory standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work and CORU registration.
- At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in child protection or children in care services (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full driver’s license and access to a car.
