About the Role:
Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Work Team Lead to join their Adult Safeguarding Team. In this critical role, you will lead a team committed to protecting vulnerable adults, ensuring their safety, dignity, and rights are upheld. This is an opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of adults at risk, working collaboratively to develop and implement safeguarding policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision.
- Develop and implement strategies to safeguard vulnerable adults, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices.
- Coordinate and conduct assessments, investigations, and interventions in cases of suspected abuse or neglect.
- Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and community organizations to promote a cohesive approach to safeguarding.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on adult safeguarding policies, procedures, and practices.
- Actively contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care and support.
- Maintain accurate records, compile reports, and contribute to audits and reviews to monitor the quality of safeguarding services.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and CORU registration.
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years of post-qualification experience in social work, with a focus on adult safeguarding or adult social care.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion, discretion, and professionalism.
