Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Are you an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist passionate about making a difference in the lives of neurodivergent individuals?
We are looking for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our client’s brand new, Autism Specialist multidisciplinary team in the disability sector, supporting both adults and children.
This is a hybrid role where you will have the option to work from home for part of your week and you will travel across different HSE Primary Care Clinics in CHO3 – Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary.
Working alongside a Senior Occupational Therapist and Senior Psychologist you will be responsible for:
- Conducting specialist autism assessments, including the ADOS and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised).
- Delivering intervention and support strategies for individuals with autism and associated communication needs.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to care.
- Services may be delivered across a range of settings including but not limited to clinic, home, education (including special educational placements) and community settings.
- Providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior SLTs and support staff.
- Maintaining accurate records and contribute to service development.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a relevant SLT qualification that is recognised and registered by CORU.
- Experience as a Senior Speech & Language Therapist or meet the criteria of this grade.
- Have specific training and experience and certification of the Autism Diagnostic. Interview-Revised (ADIR) and the Structured Play based Assessment diagnostic (ADOS) tools. (desired)
- Have up-to-date training certification in GDPR, Children First, Consent and Health and Safety.
- Full clean driver’s license with access to own vehicle.
