Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Are you an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) ready to take on a fulfilling role that combines clinical expertise, mentorship, and transformative work with children? Medforce are looking for a skilled, motivated Senior SLT to join our client’s dynamic Children’s Disability Service in Sligo.
About the Role:
As Senior SLT, you’ll deliver specialised assessments, interventions, and ongoing support for children with a range of communication and swallowing needs. You’ll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to develop individualised therapy plans that promote development, participation, and quality of life.
A key part of this role is also mentoring junior SLTs and contributing to the service’s clinical development, with a strong preference for applicants with a FEDS (Feeding, Eating, Drinking, and Swallowing) qualification to support our work with complex cases.
This is a full time, 35 hour week spread across Monday – Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunties.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy with full CORU registration.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience, ideally with a focus on pediatrics or disability services.
- Preferred Qualifications: FEDS (Feeding, Eating, Drinking, and Swallowing) certification or significant experience with FEDS-related cases.
- Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and leadership abilities, with a family-centered and empathetic approach.
