Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT). In this role, you will provide high-quality social work services to children with disabilities and their families, helping to ensure they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to offer holistic care and intervention, making a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive social work assessments and interventions for children with disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with the CDNT and other relevant professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide emotional and practical support to children and their families.
- Act as an advocate for the rights and needs of children with disabilities.
- Offer guidance on accessing community resources, educational services, and family support programs.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring best practices are maintained.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Social Work and current CORU registration.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in a similar role, preferably working with children and families.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong understanding of child development, disability, and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
