Children’s Disability Network Team Co. Meath
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist to join a Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Co. Meath and support children and their families, who present with complex needs requiring interdisciplinary clinical supports from a disability team.
The Psychologist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team who provide a quality evidence-based service in line with family-centred practice and the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles. Excellent flexibility can be provided with this position.
Requirement for a Senior Psychologist
- A recognised university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject.
- A recognised post-graduate professional qualification in clinical, counselling or educational psychology or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health. We would welcome applications from 2023 doctorial graduates.
- Applicants who qualified outside the Republic of Ireland must already have their qualifications validated by the Department of Health and Children and the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Desirable:
- Experience in assessment and delivery of clinical interventions for children who have a physical and/or sensory disability and/or intellectual disability and/or ASD.
- Work experience or a training placement in a disability service with experience of child disability cases.
- Experience of supporting children/young persons with life limiting conditions.
- Experience of working with children/young people, families and carers in the management of behaviours that challenge.
- Experience in family goal setting and family centred practise.
- Full clean driving licence and the use of a car – mileage can be reclaimed.
