Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist – Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT)
About the Role:
Medforce is recruiting an experienced and compassionate Senior Physiotherapist to join our client’s Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Donegal. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people with a range of physical and developmental needs. You will play a key role in delivering evidence-based physiotherapy services, supporting children in achieving their highest potential in daily activities and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children with physical, developmental, and neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and family support workers, to deliver holistic care.
- Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to junior physiotherapists and therapy assistants.
- Educate and empower families and caregivers on managing their child’s condition and integrating therapy into daily routines.
- Participate in service development, quality improvement projects, and clinical audits to enhance service delivery.
- Stay current with the latest research and advancements in paediatric physiotherapy and integrate best practices into care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
- CORU Registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in paediatrics or a senior role.
- In-depth knowledge of paediatric conditions such as cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and neuromuscular disorders.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, child-centered care.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting.
