Senior Physiotherapist
Medforce is currently seeking a motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our client’s Primary Care Service in Wexford. This exciting opportunity involves working across two primary care centres, delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to children and families within a supportive interdisciplinary team.
This post is a 0.8 WTE split across Monday – Friday.
The Senior Physiotherapist will work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, intervention, and management for a paediatric caseload within a primary care setting. The post will require flexibility and a commitment to delivering family-centred care close to home.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children with a range of developmental and physical needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals in education, health, and social care.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide clinical supervision and support to basic grade physiotherapists and students as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with HSE policies and standards.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy approved by CORU.
- CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, with relevant paediatric experience.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A full clean driving licence and access to own transport is essential, as the post involves travel between two service locations in County Wexford.
Desirable
- Experience working in a community or primary care setting.
- Postgraduate training in relevant areas of paediatric physiotherapy.
