Senior Physiotherapist
Medforce are seeking a motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our client’s Early Supported Discharge ICPOP Team, a dynamic and dedicated interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality care for older persons.
Based in Naas, Kildare this role covers a broad geographical area across Kildare West Wicklow, offering a varied and rewarding mix of clinic-based and domiciliary physiotherapy services. The team provides satellite clinics, home visits, and comprehensive community-based rehabilitation services.
The Senior Physiotherapist will play a key role in supporting timely hospital discharges and enhancing patient recovery within the community. This role offers the opportunity to work closely within a supportive multi-disciplinary team (MDT) that values collaborative practice and innovation in older person care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention for older persons in both clinic and home settings.
- Actively contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative care planning.
- Support service users in their transition from acute care to community-based rehabilitation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and service development.
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior physiotherapy staff and students.
Requirements:
- CORU registration is essential.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, ideally with a focus on older persons or community rehabilitation.
- Full driving licence and access to a car for domiciliary visits.
