Senior Physiotherapist
Medforce are delighted to be recruiting a CORU registered Senior Physiotherapist for a high reputable acute facility in Drogheda, County Louth.
The Senior Physiotherapist will play a key role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with neurological conditions. We are looking for a motivated professional who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
his is a full time 35 hour week spread across Monday – Friday, plus free onsite parking, incremental pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunties.
Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with a variety of neurological conditions.

Implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to support patients in improving mobility, function, and overall well-being.

Work independently to manage a clinical caseload efficiently while ensuring high standards of care.

Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including consultants, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding rehabilitation and self-management strategies.

Supervise and support junior physiotherapists, students, and assistants as required.

Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with hospital policies and professional guidelines.
Essential Requirements

BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU).

Registered with CORU as a Physiotherapist.

A minimum of three years’ post-graduate experience, with at least one year at a senior level working in neurology.

Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans for neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
Desirable Requirements

Experience in a hospital setting with exposure to acute and rehabilitative care.

Postgraduate training in neurological rehabilitation or related fields.
