Senior Occupational Therapist
Medforce are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join an Adults Disability Service in Longford.
The OT services in the disability sector in Longford play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by promoting independence, participation, and well-being. The service is person-centered, meaning it focuses on the unique needs and goals of each individual, whether they have physical, intellectual, or sensory disabilities.
The Senior Occupational Therapist will join a multidisciplinary team of professionals to deliver an efficient OT service to the population of Longford and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans
- Support adults in daily living skills, mobility, assistive technology, and home adaptations
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide training and guidance to families, caregivers, and support workers
- Supervise and mentor junior OT staff and students
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- CORU Registration
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within the disability sector
- Full-clean driver’s license and access to own vehicle
- Strong knowledge of physical, intellectual, or sensory disabilities
