Senior Dietitian
Medforce are recruiting a Senior Dietitian to join a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team at a busy acute hospital in County Meath. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality, person-centred care in a hospital committed to clinical excellence and professional development.
The Senior Dietitian will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive clinical dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients within the hospital, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. You will work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to support optimal nutritional management across a variety of clinical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced dietetic assessment and intervention for complex clinical presentations.
- Lead service development initiatives and contribute to audit, research, and quality improvement projects.
- Supervise and support junior staff and students.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to best practice in clinical care.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a BSc or MSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in the area of dietetics.
- Demonstrate sufficient clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
Note: Applications from Staff Grade Dietitians with 1–2 years’ experience and a strong clinical interest in acute care will be considered.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in acute hospital settings, including nutritional support, surgical, medical, or critical care caseloads.
- Experience in audit, service evaluation, and/or quality improvement projects.
- Evidence of CPD and professional development relevant to acute care dietetics.
