Senior Dietitian
Are you a passionate and dedicated Dietitian looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with disabilities? We are seeking a skilled Paediatric Dietitian to join our client’s Children’s Disability Service in Athlone.
About the Role
As the sole Dietitian within our client’s Multidisciplinary Team, you will play a key role in supporting children with complex nutritional needs. You will work independently while having access to support and collaboration with Dietitians in the wider network. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the nutritional care provided to children and families, ensuring they receive the best possible support tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose, and manage the nutritional needs of children with disabilities.
- Work collaboratively within a dynamic Multidisciplinary Team (including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and more).
- Provide tailored nutritional advice and intervention plans for children with feeding difficulties, tube feeding requirements, and other complex dietary needs.
- Offer education and training to families and caregivers to support long-term dietary management.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and service improvements within the team.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Dietetics and active CORU registration.
- Experience or strong interest in paediatric dietetics and working with children with disabilities.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the MDT and external support networks.
- A compassionate and family-centred approach to care.
