Senior Cardiac Physiologist
Medforce are seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with specialist expertise in echocardiography to join our client’s expanding Heart and Vascular Department in Cork. You’ll work alongside a growing team of cardiologists, contributing to the development of a comprehensive cardiac service.
Our client’s department offers a wide range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations and treatments, including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, stress testing, device clinics, TTE, TOE, Dobutamine and Exercise Stress Echo, angiography, PCI, EP studies, and device implants.
Role Overview:
- Independently manage echo and non-invasive test clinics
- Perform TTE, TOE, stress echo (Dobutamine and Exercise) in both clinic and Cath lab settings
- Supervise and support junior staff, providing training and mentorship
- Maintain high clinical standards aligned with international guidelines and departmental policies
Requirements:
- Accredited by BSE or EACVI (European Society of Cardiology)
- Recognised qualification in Clinical Measurement Science (see iicmp.ie/approved-qualifications)
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, including 1 year in echo
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and IT skills
- Team-oriented with patient-centred focus
