Physiotherapist – CDNT
Physiotherapist
Medforce are looking for a Physiotherapist to join a busy CDNT unit in Clonmel. The Physiotherapist will work as part of an interdisciplinary Children’s Disability Network Team to provide high-quality, family-centred physiotherapy services to children and young people aged 0–18 with complex needs under the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) framework. I will consider applications from Staff and Senior Grade Physiotherapists.
Responsibilities of Physiotherapist
- Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children with physical, neurological, developmental, and sensory needs.
- Develop and review individualised therapy plans using evidence-based practice.
- Deliver direct and indirect interventions, including home programmes, group work, and parent/caregiver training.
- Carry out school and home visits as required.
- Support postural management, seating, mobility aids, equipment prescription, and orthotics.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
- Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary CDNT model.
- Participate in team meetings, joint assessments, case discussions, and service development activities.
- Contribute physiotherapy input to Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
- Build positive, supportive relationships with families and empower them to assist their child’s development.
- Liaise with schools, early years providers, voluntary agencies, and community partners.
- Deliver parent workshops, staff training, or educational sessions as required.
- Adhere to CORU standards, HSE policies, and all relevant professional codes of practice.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and clinical governance requirements.
- Participate in supervision, CPD activities, audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to service planning and development.
Requirements of Physiotherapist
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy approved by CORU.
- CORU registration or eligibility for registration.
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities (placements or professional experience).
- Knowledge of developmental disorders and family-centred practice.
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport, if required.
