Medforce is proud to partner with a major acute hospital in Louth providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic, medical, surgical, and support services. We are currently seeking Staff Grade and Senior Occupational Therapists to join their dedicated team, working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting patients across a variety of clinical areas.
About the Role:
As part of the Occupational Therapy Department, you will assess, plan, and deliver client-centred interventions to support patients in maximising their independence, functional outcomes, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:
- Carry out comprehensive OT assessments and deliver tailored intervention plans
- Work across acute inpatient services including medical, surgical, orthopaedics, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care
- Participate in service planning, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- (Senior role) Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students
- (Senior role) Contribute to service development and clinical leadership
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
Staff Grade:
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist (essential)
- Relevant placement or clinical experience in acute or hospital settings
- Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills
Senior Grade:
- CORU registration (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience (with at least 1 year in an acute care setting)
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and lead service initiatives
- Experience supervising students or junior colleagues (desirable)
