Behavioural Therapist – Longford
Medforce are proud to be working alongside a Childrens Network Disability Team in Longford to bring to market this Behavioural Therapist position.
The role of the Behavioural Specialist is to undertake Functional Assessments, develop Multi Element Behaviour Support Plans for individuals with their behaviour, teach new skills and improve overall quality of life. The role will promote Positive Behaviour Support across the organization through the quality checking and improvement planning of Personal Plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide goal focused therapeutic support to children and young people in collaboration with their families.
- Maintain appropriate therapy records of all therapeutic activity.
- Understand and follow all child protection safeguarding procedures.
- Liaise and consult with other professionals working across the service as appropriate.
- Operate within all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the service.
- Participate in team meetings and attend other meetings as deemed necessary.
- Work on specific tasks required relating to service development and expansion of service.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A recognised qualification in Behavioural Therapy with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, or equivalent.
- Experience working with a variety of clients reflecting a wide range of clinical presentations.
- Experience working with young people with diverse needs.
- Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise own work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience of learning disabilties.
