Speech and Language Therapist
Medforce Recruitment are seeking Staff Grade and Senior Speech and Language Therapists to join a Paediatric Primary Care Team based in Galway. These roles offer the chance to make a real impact in the lives of children and their families while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for children with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
- Deliver family-centred therapy, supporting parents, caregivers, and schools to optimise outcomes for each child.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and contribute to service development initiatives.
Candidate Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- For Senior role: Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally including paediatrics and primary care.
- Certification and competence in managing feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing (FEDS) is desirable.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
