Clinical Psychologist
Medforce invites applications for the post of Clinical Psychologist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Donegal East. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team providing services to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex developmental needs and their families.
This post is open to applicants at both Staff Grade and Senior Grade levels, depending on qualifications and experience.
The Role
As a member of the CDNT, you will work within a family-centred, interdisciplinary framework to deliver high-quality psychological services, including assessment, intervention, consultation, and support to children and families in the context of the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) programme.
The Clinical Psychologist will have opportunities for ongoing professional development and will work alongside a committed and supportive team of professionals.
Essential Criteria
Staff Grade Applicants:
- A recognised university Doctorate degree (QQI Level 10 equivalent) obtained with first- or second-class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject
- An Irish postgraduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology
- Or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health
- Candidates must demonstrate the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the role
Senior Grade Applicants (in addition to the above):
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience (or as otherwise stipulated in HSE eligibility criteria)
- Evidence of ability to work in a leadership role within an interdisciplinary team
- Proven skills in supervision, complex case management, and MDT collaboration
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within Children’s Disability Services
- Familiarity with the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) model
